Nomad Pocket PCs With 806 MHz Processors and VGA Screen Resolution

The TDS Nomad Pocket PCs have an 806 MHz processor, a long battery life, and integrated Bluetooth. They are waterproof, shock proof and include a high-resolution, sunlight visible VGA screen that shows maps and graphics in crisp detail. The screen is 480 x 640 pixels, which is 4 times as many pixels as most Pocket PCs.

While the Nomads come with either a rocker pad or a 10 key pad, almost everyone buys the 10 key pad. It allows easy entry of numeric data and still provides easy movement around the screen with the arrow keys, tab key, and enter key. The 10 Key pad is very tactile, and allows numbers to be entered quickly and accurately.

The Nomad comes with at least 512 megs of Flash Memory, up to one Gigabyte. Data can be stored on an SD or Compact Flash memory cards in the 800B and 800L models. All models except the 800B include a built-in GPS unit.
